Classic Canadian Spiced Ice

Cocktail Ingredients

  • 1oz 2019 Reserve Riesling Icewine
  • ½ oz Kvas maple simple syrup
  • 3 oz 2018 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
  • Orange twist as garnish or candied bacon

Candied Bacon Ingredients

  • 6 strips bacon
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper.
  • Pinch of cinnamon 

Bacon Direction

Lay strips of bacon on baking sheet with parchment.  Mix the brown sugar, maple simple syrup and cinnamon together.  Coat bacon with mixture and lay on baking sheet with parchment.  Sprinkle with black pepper and bake for 15-18 minutes or until crispy and candied.  Let cool.

Directions

Mix all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake for 10-15 seconds.  Pour into a wine glass and garnish with a twist of orange or candied bacon.
